The Mainframe crew layers in touches of cel animation to boost the style and action in this CG adrenalin-fest highlighting Honda’s F1 partnership with Aston Martin Red Bull Racing and Scuderia Toro Rosso.

From Mainframe: “After referencing several Japanese animation styles it was ultimately decided to use a limited color palette to really highlight the animation and feeling of speed throughout.

“Our team worked full tilt and layer by layer we built up the shots. The colors used are carefully matched to Red Bull and Torro Rosso F1 teams, ultimately revealing the real world cars.”
