Creative director Igor Sordokhonov and the Media.Work CG motion crew transform the line between beauty and evidence-based science into a riveting sequence of facts and metaphors in this new film for US skincare brand SkinCeuticals.
Igor Sordokhonov: “Proclaiming its mission to improve skin health backed by science, SkinCeuticals invited us to create a series of visualizations showcasing the brand’s core message. Integrating the benefits of the products and their medical-tool effect, we tried to communicate the essential tenets based on research and innovation.
“Relying on a bold statement that puts science at the center of the story, we aimed to connect the points of medical procedure, innovation, and product benefit.”
“Efficiency and intelligence are fundamental principles for the brand, which separates it from much of the beauty commerce that sells attractive marketing lyrics and a long list of ingredients. Standing out from that decorative shell, the brand is committed to inventing effective results for the skin.
“Relying on a bold statement that puts science at the center of the story, we aimed to connect the points of medical procedure, innovation, and product benefit. In drawing a strong visual thread between these components, we developed a set of metaphors to demonstrate a clear commitment to research and evidence-based validity.
“Each of the featured products has a particular benefit such as smoothing and tightening, reducing redness and lowering skin inflammation, plumping and contouring. To creatively capture these benefits, we combined our artistic interpretation with the real products’ impact on the skin.”
