Until they were sidelined by the Omicron variant, these six joyful and abstract films created by NYC’s Block & Tackle, were going to run on a massive 52′ by 18′ LED screen amplifying Google’s presence at CES 2022.
Black & Tackle founder/CD Adam Gault: “Over the course of four days, the giant LED screen gracing the front of Google’s booth was to be filled with visually engaging stories illustrating the seamless and exciting ways that Android products work together and fun breather moments called Art Breaks.

“In each mini-film, curious graphic shapes embark on unexpected journeys and discover new ways to interact, create, get along, and have fun.
“The distinct ideas in each piece allowed the team to explore different production techniques as well. In ‘Machine’ the mechanical interactions are automated with linked expressions in After Effects. ‘Eureka’ is more introspective and it follows its own internal logic, which was mapped out in writing before any design began.
“‘Journey’ was designed and animated in 3D and rendered using Redshift. It required the team to carefully calibrate the compositions and lighting to ensure consistency with the established design system.”
