Flamboyant Paradise Joins PETA’s “Good Sh*t” Movement

Flamboyant Paradise directors Javier Lourenço and Álvarez Ortega Bianchi team with composer Pedro Gómez to stage a musical fecal frenzy for animal rights organization PETA while making the point that being vegan is good for your gut.

Javier Lourenço and Álvarez Ortega Bianchi: “The visual direction was designed to bring warmth to a rather uncomfortable topic. We chose kawaii-style characters because they allow us to speak about poop in a cute, and naïve way. We animated the film in cel animation to make the characters feel truly alive and lovable.

“By transforming a basic, bodily function into something colorful and charming, the spot manages to flip the script on vegan messaging. No guilt. Just smooth moves — and a solid reason to go plant-based. Because when you go vegan, animals don’t suffer — and neither do you.”

Pedro Gómez at Noroeste Music: “To match the playful visuals, we explored a wide range of moods and genres, until, together with the agency and directors, we landed on the idea: it had to feel like a sketch from Saturday Night Live. That led us to something catchy and lo-fi, conceptualizing the idea of smoothness with an R&B vibe.”
