Baillat Studio Projects Visual Intrigue for MAPP_MTL

Jean-Sébastien Baillat and his Montreal motion studio (who landed on the Stash radar last year with this branding work), layer up AI-generated imagery into an intriguing campaign for local projection mapping festival MAPP_MTL.

Jean-Sébastien Baillat: “The concept of this film was based on the idea of perspectives and the principle that 1+1=3, where two images are combined to create a unique result through technical manipulation. AI images were produced and curated using Midjourney while the animations were crafted with Runway.

“The visual style involved a play on overlaying elements, with a lot of experimentation and artistic decisions. The final product was edited traditionally to music by Homy Studio, and the campaign’s film was presented as a projection mapping during the festival. The OT Alpha font by Omnitype was used throughout the campaign.”
