Wondersmith Expands with Addition of Senior Producer Kimberly Abels

From the release:

Charlotte, N.C. – (July 8, 2015) – Founder and executive producer Joe Murray and creative director Thom Blackburn of creative production company Wondersmith have added veteran agency and creative producer Kimberly Abels to their staff as senior producer, effective immediately.

For more than five years, Kimberly has held the position of broadcast producer for Trone Brand Energy, where she has managed productions for the North Carolina Education Lottery and numerous national and regional accounts.

Through this role, Kimberly has worked with Joe and Thom time and again, including several collaborations on the NC Lottery and Greenies, as well as the award-winning campaign for North State Communications. Based on these shared experiences, all parties view Kimberly’s hiring as a powerful combination that already has a solid track record for producing brand assets and original content of the highest order.

Prior to joining Trone, Kimberly was senior producer for bicoastal production company Thornberg and Forester in New York for two years, and that position followed previous stints as a producer for eyeball and J. Walter Thompson Worldwide, also in NYC.

“I have great respect for the work Wondersmith is doing, and think the quality and the production values hold up on a national level,” Kimberly began. “They have the perfect blend of organization and creativity. They always meet deadlines and budgets while pushing the creativity and upping the production value of work. For me, this is a great fit because it allows me to work in North Carolina while still producing work of the highest quality.”

“Since we’ve worked very closely with Kimberly over the past five years, we know that we are adding an all-star in terms of production and client management,” said Joe. “Her experience has been earned on the agency side, but also inside very high profile design and production companies, both in New York and in North Carolina. Her skillset aligns with our trajectory perfectly.”

Thom also pointed out how Kimberly’s addition benefits the many different agencies and brands that Wondersmith continues to collaborate with. “It’s an honor for us to welcome Kimberly to our team, which is so committed to producing breakthrough content. With Kimberly here, we all look forward to helping set our clients’ brands apart with inspired content.”
