UK director Kris Hofmann, who charmed us with her gentle call to save Britain’s hedgehogs, is back with another warm and tactile multi-media stop-motion project.
Kris Hofmann: “The animation was commissioned by the EU Energy Efficiency Program in the Baltics with the aim to encourage residents of crumbling Soviet-era housing to agree to much needed renovation works.
“Much like with the animation we did for Wildlife Aid, the set and characters were built in practical 3D (with wood and lots of wool instead of paper this time round) and stop-frame animated. The faces and textures however were drawn and then mapped on to the models in After Effects.”
