Trizz Teases Delta Force Game Reboot With Data-Driven Trailer (Director’s Cut)

Leaning into the crucial role played by tactical data in Tencent’s first-person shooter Delta Force, ECD Oriol Puig and the Trizz team unleash two minutes of hardcore CG action punctuated with glitchy design.

Oriol Puig: “This launch film for the highly anticipated remake of the iconic tactical game from the early 2000s dives into intense battle sequences and explores a dynamic, abstract world where data itself becomes a weapon. Our main creative challenge was to integrate this data-driven realm seamlessly with the battle scenes, creating an environment where both worlds coexist as one immersive experience.

“Our main creative challenge was to integrate this data-driven realm seamlessly with the battle scenes, creating an environment where both worlds coexist as one immersive experience.”

“Inspired by the Upside-Down concept from Stranger Things, we designed a shift between realities: at the flick of a switch, players enter a modified vision of the battlefield, seeing data links and energy flows that reveal hidden tactical opportunities.

“This view then shifts back to a high-intensity, action-packed world where those data cues disappear, heightening the stakes and pace of the battle.

“On the technical side, we embraced the challenge of blending Maya and Unreal with Cinema 4D, a first for our team. This integration, along with managing hundreds of in-game assets like characters, weapons, vehicles, and complex environments, pushed us to innovate across our pipeline.”
