Teenage Engineering Spec Brand Film by Lee Yoonha

The striking quality of 3D motion design produced by students at VDAS (Visual Design & Art School) in Seoul, South Korea, continues with this intricate spec brand film for consumer electronics brand Teenage Engineering by Lee Yoonha.

Lee Yoonha: “Teenage Engineering produces sound devices such as synthesizers, recorders, and speakers, I created this video to highlight the design philosophy and brand values that set it apart from other sound design products.

“The fluctuating waves of sound were made into organic shapes and I showed how the sounds communicate with each other by creating a collision of the UI objects.”

“The main video is about the production process of Teenage Engineering, the unique sound from the product, and the excellent interaction that combines and expands the product. It is divided into 3 parts: first, the products start with essential materials developed into precise and complex structures.

“Second, a variety of unique and creative sounds come from Teenage Engineering’s products. I expressed the uniqueness of the sounds using various colors. The fluctuating waves of sound were made into organic shapes and I showed how the sounds communicate with each other by creating a collision of the UI objects.

“Third, sounds are recreated into joyful music as they react and combine with other products to become another sound system. And the new system brings out new reactions and sounds. This process is continuous and always produces creative results.”
