Ordinary Folk Invites You to Join Them for a “Nightdrive” in New Short Film

In their latest in-house motion project, CD Jorge R. Canedo E. and the team at Ordinary Folk in Vancouver slow things down for an emotional and expressionist look at the interaction of light, glass, water, and darkness.

Jorge R. Canedo E.: “Driving with music at night can feel almost magical. The way water drops slide across the window, the blurred reflections dancing on wet pavement, the glow of passing streetlights. This feeling, this interplay of light and color, became the essence of our project.

“With the help of the talented AD/designer Justin Burks and the use of abstraction and simple shapes, Nightdrive was born. An experimental piece that captures the mood of a nighttime drive, blending light and color with Ambrose Yu’s rendition of Thom Yorke’s ‘Dawn Chorus’.
