The latest CG motion experiment in Google’s Deepmind Visualizing AI series arrives courtesy of Novoto Studio in Berlin with their take on the idea that “everyone can participate in the festival of AI and drive positive impact in the world”.
Novoto co-founders Philipp Gysin and Christoph Schramm: “AI and society are transforming together. Research is exploring the impact of AI on individuals and society and how they can harness the benefits through AI tools and mitigate risks through equitable development.
“Since the topic is very complex and far-reaching, it was clear from the beginning that storytelling would be one of the most important building blocks in the creation of the film. What would different solutions that AI provide look like? How would humans interact with it? How do we look after a safe and equitable development?
“We wanted to create a world that is rich in symbolic elements and reflects the core of the idea – a world viewers can dive into.”
“We wanted to create a world that is rich in symbolic elements and reflects the core of the idea – a world viewers can dive into. We asked ourselves what different solutions could look like when we represent them as physical objects.
“The solutions to the problems of humanity are often highly unique and individual – so diversity is a main characteristic of the design. Yet one should be able to recognize them at first sight – therefore we used the power of abstraction to find a sweet spot between diversity and consistency.”
