Inspired by their shared fascination with myths and stories, the directing duo of Chris Lenox Smith and Jesse Casey at Mixtape Club in NYC, teams with children’s author Adam Gidwitz and illustrator R Kikuo Johnson to update a Japanese folk tale.

“The Snow Girl” wraps a multigenerational narrative and timeless themes of respect for nature and individuality into a thoughtfully scripted and beautifully rendered four-minute film.
