Producer Samantha Cook at Meister in Portland: “Comedian Kyle Kinane asked us to create an animation to promote the launch of his album, “Trampoline in a Ditch.” Kyle and his team at 800 Pound Gorilla Records were very open about letting Meister loose with this project.
“After listening to the album, we were asked to pick a track and develop treatments and concepts that could bring some additional color to Kyle’s voice.
“Ultimately we landed on a stop motion animation-inspired 3D Lottery Ball world and a semi-traditional 2D animation that asked the hard questions about ‘Where did do all the old Kyles go?’.
“It was an interesting challenge to counterweigh Kyle’s energy and enthusiasm in his stand up with weird and wild visuals.”
