Golden Wolf stretches their creative and production skills into a full 16-minutes of fantasy adventure in this Doodles short film featuring animation by Mexican studio Mighty and three songs by Pharrell Williams.

Dotti Sinnott, head of content operations at Doodles: “Following our acquisition of Golden Wolf in 2023, this project represented our first major integrated production as a unified company.

“Exploring themes of creative commoditization and personal belonging, the film plays against the backdrop of the hyper-ordered city of Dullsville and the creative chaos of the Doodleverse, a reality-shattering world where imagination holds no bounds.

“As the creative team endeavored to build upon the Doodles IP, we realized the need to bridge the gap between a character-based design language into some sort of tangible introduction into a cohesive universe. This was the perfect challenge for Golden Wolf to expand their storytelling, visual development, and production prowess from commercial animation projects into a longer animated special.

“Doodles’ relationship with Pharrell Williams also added a very special layer to this opportunity. He provided us with three songs and access to big names like Lil Wayne, Lil Yachty, and Coi Leray who lent their voices to our characters.

“Inspired by the original Doodles PFP collection, we started with so many interesting characters but no world in which to situate the story. Over the course of scripting, we developed the concept of the Doodleverse and its alternate parallel Dullsville, and the story grew from there.

“Making sense of the two distinct worlds on a whirlwind timeline was a fun challenge, and we had more ideas than we could fit into the short film. Happily, we’ll be expanding on these concepts through short form content to be released on our social media.”
