All sorts of sticky fun and general weirdness going on in these vignettes produced in-house at FX Networks as in-show packaging for Cake, their half-hour short-form comedy block showcasing live-action and animated comedies.
Ryan Hunnewell, senior motion designer at FX Networks: “What started as an initial marketing exploration evolved into an entire package for the 4th season of Cake on FXX and FX on Hulu.
“With the eccentric nature of the Cake shorts, we needed a creative way to help introduce each episode as well as define the bounds of the content between commercial breaks.
“The per-episode themes allowed us to tell micro-stories and inject small details that carry over between bumpers to flesh out this cake-infused miniature world.”
