Folks Toronto Welcomes Sr. Producer Mike Duffy and Compositing Supervisor Graham Day

Folks Toronto is pleased to announce the conjoint hiring of Senior Producer, Mike Duffy and Compositing Supervisor, Graham Day.

As Senior Producer, Mike Duffy will oversee all aspects of Toronto-based projects by managing resources and assignment constraints, while implementing key development strategies.

With fifteen years’ experience in the industry, Mike brings significant know-how to his role. He previously produced acclaimed projects for Spin VFX and Intelligent creatures, earning two CSA nominations for Best Visual Effects and one MTV Nomination for Best Visual Effects in a Music Video. Having his own background as a flame artist, he holds a unique understanding of the technical and creative challenges within the VFX process. His strong organizational and interpersonal skills will be a significant asset in leading our Toronto team. “I am thrilled to join Folks and help the studio cater to its clients’ growing needs. I look forward to contributing my own experience to new challenges while extending my skill set in this new adventure” mentioned Duffy.

As compositing supervisor, Graham Day will ensure the overall quality and continuity of compositing projects, as well as provide a structured framework to cultivate creativity.

The former compositing manager for Mr.X gained valuable managerial skills through mentoring compositing artists. Day’s keen eye for detail and technical knowledge provide him the perfect mix of creative flair and structured thought process. His proficient background in compositing earned him valuable recognition, having contributed to Oscar and Bafta-winning movies including Inception, Harry Potter and Dark Knight Rises. Commenting on his appointment, Day states he is “excited to join the studio’s creative environment and help develop the team into a force to be reckoned with”.
