DETROIT – (March 5, 2019) – Cutters Studios along with Flavor, its design and visual arts group, are very proud to announce the addition of Creative Director/Designer Chadwick Halbritter to their full-time staff in Detroit. The announcement was made by Cutters Studios Detroit’s Managing Director Kurt Kulas.
“Detroit is experiencing a creative renaissance, and over the past few years, the commercials, VFX and design projects we’ve created here through Flavor have been extraordinary,” Kulas began. “To further support our commitment as a value-added up-stream creative partner, we sought out an innovative leader who ideates strategically, conceptually… and is passionate about creating work that complements brand strategies and values at the highest levels.”
Halbritter brings over 10 years of experience to his new position as Creative Director/Designer for Flavor. Based in Detroit alongside Flavor Detroit’s Executive Producer Dave Peyton, Halbritter will also wield the collective’s limitless pool of state-of-the-art resources and all-star talents through the global reach of Cutters Studios. A visionary, hands-on leader, Halbritter is adept at pitching, winning and leading brand-, agency- and entertainment-driven creative collaborations from concept to completion.
“Chadwick is highly confident leading teams and ideating at the intersection of design, creativity and technology,” Peyton added. “His vision for what’s next, and how to get there, is deeply inspiring to us all. We’re confident our clients will share our enthusiasm.”
Working over the past five years as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after freelance art directors and motion designers, Halbritter has helped lead immersive, cinematic 2D/3D projects from design through production, ranging from main titles for films, TV series and experiential applications, to commercials, TV idents and concert visuals. His design contributions to successful main title pitches include “Charlie’s Angels” for Trailer Park, “The Twilight Zone” for Laundry, “Tolkien” for MOCEAN, “The Alienist” for Elastic (a 2018 Outstanding Main Title Emmy Award nominee), and Sunday Night Football on NBC for Zoic Studios. With a top-tier list of past clients and collaborators (also including Imaginary Forces, Framestore and The Mill, among many others), Halbritter focuses on using cinematography, storytelling and conceptual design in surprising new ways to build meaningful, unforgettable experiences.
“What attracted me to Flavor and the Cutters family was the opportunity to push myself in a new creative direction as part of a highly talented group of passionate people,” Halbritter said. “I’m excited to join the well-established creative hub that is Cutters Studios Detroit and further establish Flavor at the forefront of the global creative industry, together with the group’s other top-tier talents around the world.”
