The dreary tedium of a New York subway ride transforms into a 60-second psychotropic adventure courtesy of Partizan director Antoine Bardou-Jacquet and Paris VFX masters Mathematic thru 72andSunny for Adobe’s Photoshop.
Rebecca Rice, executive creative producer at Mathematic: “The spot was shot in Prague in early March just before flights were grounded in Europe, and work-from-home measures were implemented.
“Fortunately, the creative team at Mathematic was already equipped to handle remote workflows and was able to keep the effects schedule on track, with more than 40 artists collaborating on shots from home.
“Regular video conference calls and chat app check-ins ensured everyone was aligned to push the qualitative level of each individual shot. With 15 individual scenes, each with multiple assets and a mixed bag of effects, regular review sessions kept the project on track.”
