UK director/animator/cinematographer Karl Poyzer, who we know best from his hilarious Floaters short films, steers a more ambient and austere course for this music video, a full-CG effort for Britsh composer/producer Ital Tek.
Producer Bruce Bigg at House of Panic in Amsterdam: “Stemming from a modest animation test, Karl developed an extensive, architecturally-focused sci-fi world that took inspiration from eclectic a range of references such as French neoclassical architect Étienne-Louis Boullée and Japanese manga artist Tsutomu Nihei.
“From these humble beginnings, the project kept growing over the space of six months. As it began to feel more and more like the basis of a music video, it prompted Karl to reach out to Brighton-based Ital Tek (aka Alan Myson). When Ital Tek sent over his track ‘The Mirror’, Karl immediately knew he had found the perfect fit for his visuals.
“The project was rendered in Blender using the Cycles engine and was edited in DaVinci Resolve.”
