Chinese director and CG artist Ajiao Weiye, who hit the Stash radar last summer with this outstanding title sequence, calls out the irresponsibility of gambling with the Earth’s environment in this dramatic new CG short film.

Ajiao Weiye: “This short film discusses the blindness of humans in using natural resources. It uses a casino analogy to reveal how people use natural resources as chips to engage in gambling games.

“The purpose of the film is to remind people of the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development, and the need to protect our environmental resources instead of constantly weakening and depleting them like a gambler.

“Using this metaphor, the short film hopes to encourage people to reflect on their consumption and lifestyle, and to treat the natural environment in a more responsible way. Gamblers represent those who only care about their immediate interests and ignore the future.”
