Nikolay Kirchev and Yordan Stoyanov, founders of the newly spawned Yonick Studio in Sofia, Bulgaria, just dropped us their first project, a spec film for consumer electronics maker Nothing they describe as “a love letter to a brand we admire”.
Nikolay Kirchev and Yordan Stoyanov: “The concept began with a simple question: If we were asked to launch this device, how would we do it?
“The film holds back the product reveal, teasing it instead through signature circular flash patterns, material fragments, and architectural details that echo the phone’s design DNA. Our goal was to build tension and presence without ever fully showing the object — letting the visual language speak for itself.

“Our pipeline combined hard-surface modeling, procedural systems, spline-based layouts (to reflect circuit-like flow), and extensive VDB modeling — allowing us to balance dense hero shots with optimized scenes for real-time navigation and fast rendering.
“We built entire 3D environments from Nothing’s signature internal components reimagined as architectural structures and modular spaces. These were constructed procedurally in Houdini and Blender, with motion crafted for fluidity and energy.
“We also shifted into a rougher, noisier world, layering up bold typography in the Nothing font with gritty textures built from micro circular patterns — a nod to the brand’s identity and hardware details. These textures, animated with slight chaos, added a lo-fi, analog energy that contrasts the pristine CG shots.”
