In 2022, XK studio dropped a pair of CG motion explorations redefining the boundaries of footwear design (watch here and here). Their latest, XKR_003 | Rehydrate, considers “the shifting states of water and the surreal moments that emerge in-between.”

XK studio co-founders Alexa Sirbu and Lukas Vojir: “The ‘Rehydrate’ collection is a project we originally prepared to exhibit on large screens during our open studio almost two years ago and kept coming back to it.

“When a self-initiated studio project spans over a longer period of time, the challenge is to balance our desire to keep continually evolving it with the drive to finish and publish it.”
