From the release:
Revery, an independent creative studio working with brands, agencies and artists to create global stories that move people and culture, announced three leadership promotions today as the company prepares for its next growth evolution.
Chrissy Lucas, who played a pivotal role in growing Revery over the last several years, has been named the company’s inaugural managing partner. She was most recently executive director, creative production.
Two executive creative producers, Abigail Maravalli and Sara Magness, have been promoted to lead growing disciplines reflecting their individual expertise. Maravalli, who most recently led Revery’s Google partnership, is now director, brand design. Magness, who led collaborations with Delta, Disney and other partners, is now director, narrative production.
All three promotions are timely and significant as they reflect Revery’s commitment to growing internal talent and empowering female leaders, as the company embarks on a new chapter.
“In an era where marketing messaging too often becomes generic, authentic storytelling remains our most potent tool for creating community and connection,” says Revery Founder and President Davis Priestley. “Chrissy, Abigail and Sara have demonstrated that they have the leadership, strategic and operational expertise to take our story into its next evolution. They’re fearless visionaries who have consistently operated beyond their roles and I look forward to working with them in their new posts as our company continues to grow.”
Revery’s dedication to genuine narrative storytelling sets brands apart. By leaning into industry disruption, the company creates bold creative ideas that redefine how brands connect with audiences. Revery’s commitment is underscored by a three-pronged approach: deepening industry collaborations with brands, agencies, and entertainment entities; strengthening the balance between brand work and original storytelling; and scaling creative production.
Lucas joined Revery in 2018 and has played a critical role in scaling its brand-direct relationships. As managing partner, she will lead delivery across all three service offerings, operations, and finance, partnering closely with Priestley. Lucas brings a blend of creative, production and operational expertise, shaped by her background at larger, more traditional agencies including BBDO, Moxie and JWT.
Maravalli joined Revery in 2022 and has been instrumental in building the studio’s relationship with Google into a thriving one. Colleagues and clients alike know her for her collaborative, solutions-focused approach and her commitment to investing heavily in company culture and team wellness. In her new post, she will focus on growing Revery’s reputation beyond production excellence and into brand and design leadership.
Magness came to Revery in 2023 from Owen Jones and Partners, a design and brand experience agency. At Revery, she spearheaded initiatives that have brought narrative filmmaking into brand storytelling, including through collaborations with Delta, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and many agency partners. In her new position, she will play a pivotal role in further accelerating Revery’s long-form narrative and branded content offerings. In addition to driving sustainability initiatives, Magness will also spearhead Revery’s use of AI to further streamline production processes, allowing for more focused creativity.
“I’m looking forward to helping Revery realize its full potential as a storytelling studio and execute our craft on an increasingly larger, global scale,” says Lucas. “2025 is truly a pivotal year for Revery—there is such a strong feeling of momentum and the primary aim is to lean into that energy.”
“One thing I’ve always loved about my experience here is Revery’s ‘why not?’ mindset,” notes Maravalli. “This is an important part of our culture and success because it’s a daily reminder that creativity shouldn’t be boxed in by traditional rules. This attitude has and will continue to open a lot of doors for us as we partner directly with clients to create bold creative ideas with constraints.”
Added Magness: “I am excited to push our creative and producer teams to explore the frontier of innovative storytelling. I aim to thoughtfully integrate AI capabilities, enhancing our production processes in service of our artists and clients. Revery’s commitment to narrative and how that reflects timeless human experience provides profound inspiration, and I anticipate contributing to advancing our storytelling potential.”
