Art director/CG artist Diego Martinez, based in Montpellier, France, makes his Stash debut with this moody and multi-textured CG spec film for a modern take on the classic Chelsea boot by American CD Matthew Williams.

“The references to stone and ice were intended to illustrate the robustness and elegance of the boots, showcasing their ability to seamlessly integrate into various environments.”

 
“The goal was to create innovative 3D visuals that highlight the adaptability of the boots while establishing a striking contrast between two distinct color palettes: stone and ice.

This approach emphasized the dialogue between earthy warmth and sleek coolness, reinforcing the concept of a pair that is both timeless and contemporary.

“The sound design was conceived to accentuate the geometrical, raw, luminous, and icy aspects of the 3D visuals. We produced an entire ambient atmosphere with pads Timeshaper, Sidechain Triggering, Audio Triggering and Pitch-Shifting automations.”
