UK husband and wife directing duo Garth and Ginny Jones (who Stash fans know as Persistent Peril) have relaunched themselves as Yeto – re-teaming here with illustrator Owen Davey to promo his fantasy board game Fame & Fable.

Garth Jones: “It was a real joy to once again animate Owen’s beautiful designs – this was the first time we got to work with his intricate line work illustrations, which presented a new challenges for us. We are also big board game players so were delighted to take on this project.

“The biggest challenge was keeping the line wight constant throughout. The trailer features camera moves and zooms, which we would usually create in post production. However, to avoid the line thickness changing when zooming into a shot, we cleaned up the camera move frame by frame to get the control we needed.
 

“We have had the pleasure of play testing the game with Owen many times and knew we wanted to bring to life the battle between a mercenary and the fabled Goliath Toad!”

“One of the most satisfying parts of the process was receiving the brilliant audio from our sound designer James Locke-Hart, his sound design always breathes such life and adds so many fun details.
