Words like sublime and masterful come to mind when I watch Gianluca Maruotti’s stop motion work, and this uplifting new music video for Australian singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd just serves to further reinforce those adjectives.

A puppet maker and illustrator as well as an animator, Maruotti is based in Rome and first appeared in Stash in 2019 with “Free to Roam”, an intricate and emotional stop-motion video for Massimo Giangrande.
