From the release:
We are thrilled to welcome veteran creative director Richard Eng to the Troika team! Richard rounds out our group of industry-leading specialists and adds depth to Troika’s end-to-end branding approach, bringing his expertise in writing and crafting outdoor, on-air and digital campaigns and social strategies for linear and digital platforms.
His experience working from both the agency and client-side brings a client perspective to the agency, as we continually strive to create the best possible experience with our partners.
Richard came to Los Angeles via New York City, his hometown. His resume is a who’s who of branding and design, working for Manhattan Transfer, Nick at Night, Fuel, Bind, Digital Kitchen, Loyal Kaspar, and FreeForm. Richard worked with Troika as well in his early days as a freelancer, and we’re happy to have him back home.
Some of his favorite projects have included the launch of History Channel International –his very first design assignment- branding for The CW, where he wrote the “Dare to Defy” tagline, the repositioning of The Peabody organization, where he was charged with making the brand relevant beyond the awards show, and most recently the FreeForm Women’s Month campaign.
Richard is most passionate about socially relevant brands that have a strong fandom behind them, which perfectly aligns with Troika’s unique expertise in cultivating fans of brands. He loves to help brands find their authenticity and connect with their audience and strives for work that is meaningful and impactful.
As he puts it, “It all starts with being real.” His skills include branding and visual identity; he is a hands-on writer and has deep experience in crafting multi-platform campaigns of all types—further extending Troika’s well-known brand-building expertise into consumer and B2B activations.
