From the release:

Today, The Mill have announced their next step into international expansion with a new Mill studio in Seoul, South Korea. The new studio is a short walk from many agencies, production companies, and brands in the center of the creative Gangnam District.

Having a new base in South Korea will enable us to leverage our expertise in Visual Effects, Creative Production, and Experience in the APAC region and continue to push the boundaries of content and experiences to a broader range of international clients and creative collaborators.

Over the years we have worked with a number of South Korean clients, recent projects include Samsung’s Gold Cannes Lion-winning ‘The Spider & The Window’, Hyundai’s ‘CES 2022’ experience, and KRAFTON’s PUBG: Battleground. The new studio will bring The Mill’s full range of creative capabilities to South Korea and beyond.

The studio will be led by Vice President Tony Choi, who has over 30 years of experience in production, tapping into western and eastern cultures across Australia, America, and Korea. Tony is excited to be joining The Mill to expand our global offering of world-class VFX, creative production, and experience to the South Korean market.

The studio will be led creatively by Executive Creative Director June Park. June has led successful campaigns for globally renowned brands, including Samsung Electronics, Galaxy S series, Z Fold & Z Flip series, Hyundai Motors, Kia Motors, and Chevrolet (GM). Prior to joining The Mill, June was Head of the Metaverse Creative Team in Cheil Worldwide. He has also played a huge part in Metaverse content creation as the lead creative mind for Samsung’s virtual character GNUSMAS.

The development of Mill Seoul will be overseen by Mill Global Chief Strategy Officer Alex Schneider.
