Today, Forever, the Group of companies consisting of FutureDeluxe, Tendril, and Builders Club announced its certification as a B Corporation (or B Corp).

“We’re so excited to be part of a movement that is working toward an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable society,” said Kate Bate, COO of the Forever Group. “It’s our aim to embody the values of our people and community. This process solidifies our commitment to creating new ways of working that will also promote these values.”

Forever joins a growing group of organizations transforming the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. The global B Corp community represents over 8,000 brands across many industries and sizes, including The Guardian, innocent, Patagonia, and organic food pioneers Abel & Cole.

This certification is verified by B Lab, the not-for-profit behind the B Corp movement, as having met high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. The assessment addresses the entirety of a business’ operations and covers five key impact areas of Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers.

Applicants are required to reach a benchmark score of over 80, while providing proof of socially and environmentally responsible practices relating to energy use, waste and water use, worker compensation, diversity, and corporate transparency. To complete the certification, the company will legally embed their commitment to purpose beyond profit in their company articles.

Recent attention on the design industry makes Forever’s B Corp certification a notable step and signals a shift towards greater accountability and transparency in the sector.
