As proof the CG handbag wars are heating up, take a peek at this lush and atmospheric product film from Los Angeles 3D motion studio Stylo Creative built around the details and textures of Louis Vuitton’s classic Coussin bag.

Jonathan Baskin, producer at Stylo Creative: “In aligning with the playful elegance synonymous with Louis Vuitton, our focus gravitated towards crafting an experimental in-house film centered around their timeless offering, the Coussin bag. This choice aimed not only to immerse ourselves in the luxury market but also to forge an entirely novel and distinctive approach, breathing fresh life into the intersection of creative and luxury.

“This project presented many challenges due to the nature of the product. The leather Coussin bag has a fabric strap as well as a metal chain. Instead of faking it in Houdini, we decided to set up a rigorous system, combining both Vellum and RBD, creating a fully simulation-ready bag. Every aspect of the bag can be simulated (together), resulting in beautiful and believable motion.”
