The animation team at Shed in Montreal, whose 2020 IGA holiday spot caused many a tear, capture the magic of giving with this sweet stop-motion-style CG project directed by François Hogue about a boy and his teddy bear with a missing ear.
Shed describes the film as taking place “in an unreal world where anything is possible and where the characters are made of wood and felt and the machines are made of cardboard.
“We also worked with AI to brainstorm. The keywords we used: window, Christmas, tree, cyberpunk, robot, machine, photorealistic, etc. From these different images of inspiration, we started to work on the storyboard and concept art.”
