Working to a track by rapper/songwriter Princess Nokia, Strange Beast director Sacha Beeley stages the sequel to her 2021 adland hit “The Pube Song” in the ongoing quest to make the world more comfortable with the hair down there.
Sacha Beeley: “The success of the first Venus spot gave me the confidence to really go for it in terms of the camera moves, dance moves and designs. It helped hugely that I loved the track and that I’m a fan of Princess Nokia’s music.
“I took inspiration from a lot of my favorite early 2000s music videos and their camera moves: drones flying over beaches etc. This time round I recorded myself doing all the dance moves that I had in mind so that I could show my animation team directly.
Princess Nokia: “As a songwriter and rapper, I connect with my fans by helping them show up as their truest selves. For that reason, I’m excited to be working with Venus to advance this important message that gets more women comfortable talking about their bodies.”
