From the release:
Revenant is delighted to welcome CG Supervisor, Drew Robertson, to our growing 3D team. Drew brings nearly 20 years’ experience in high-end animation for games, film, and television. He joins us from Dublin-based studio SSVFX where he was both a CG and VFX Supervisor and worked on films such as Disney’s ‘Ahsoka’ and ‘Gran Turismo.’
Prior to SSVFX, Drew enjoyed a long tenure at Axis Studios, where he began as a Junior Modeler and worked his way up to joint Head of CG due to his talent and skills in team building and mentorship. While at Axis, Drew worked on a wide variety of projects in terms of both style and genre, including game cinematics, TV adverts, TV series and a Netflix film. The work he is most proud of is the episode included in Netflix’s ‘Love, Death & Robots’ animation collection – ‘Helping Hand,’ for which the team won a Scottish BAFTA.
Drew’s enthusiasm to collaborate with a new crew and continue to push creative boundaries is matched by Revenant’s excitement of harnessing his expertise and leadership to continue to elevate the quality of the studio’s output.
Revenant is also thrilled to announce the hiring of experienced production exec Lindsay Weir as Supervising Producer. Lindsay brings 17 years’ experience in the Animation industry, from large well-established production and post houses to smaller boutiques and start-ups within VFX, Features, Series, 2D, Games and Commercial productions. Most recently, Lindsay was the Head of Production for Bristol-based studio, Sun & Moon.
Lindsay’s extensive experience includes stints at MPC in London, Aardman’s VFX features department in Bristol, Sunrise Animation Studios in Cape Town and Axis Studios in Glasgow. Key titles in those roles included ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,’ ‘The Pirates! In the Adventures with Scientists!’ and ‘Halo: Spartan Ops’ cinematics.
Over the last decade, Lindsay was based in the South West of England working with studios such as Dyson, Aardman Commercials and Sun & Moon where she took on a variety of CGI, Stop-Frame, 2D and live action projects with clients such as the BBC, Chevron, Clarks, Fisher Price, Games Workshop, and Square Enix. In 2018, Lindsay produced her first 2D CBeebies series, 52 episodes of ‘Kit & Pup,’ and most recently an anthology series for Warhammer.
Lindsay’s experience with a diverse mix of projects means she’ll fit right in at Revenant, where a wide variety of work comes through the studio doors. With a proven track record of delivering outstanding creative projects, Lindsay’s expertise in overseeing large scale projects and refining workflow processes will strengthen Revenant’s production capabilities as the studio continues to grow.
