Creative director Misha Petrick and his Berlin design and animation crew capture all the frustration and absurdity of life’s mundane tasks in this expressive character spot, one in a new series for Tinkoff Bank cashback debit cards.
Director Ruslana Mirzaalieva: “Together with Tinkoff, we created debit card designs and a series of videos about stress. Sometimes the last straw can be a flash drive that refuses to obey the laws of physics. To avoid self-liquidation from an excess of emotion, we suggest taking a deep breath and a break.
“The peculiarity of advertising animations is that they cannot show fire hazardous situations, cutting objects, aggression, and so on. The challenge for us in this film was to find a suitable ending where there would be a release of tension, but no aggression or dangerous situations. For this story, we chose realistic 3D, unsaturated colors, and a light noir vibe”.
