From the release:
Once in a blue moon, an animation team appears on the scene seemingly out of nowhere, coming with such a force and unique point of view that makes it impossible to look away.
This is the case of the incredible animation duo Afterman, comprised of Tsvetelina Zdraveva and Jerred North, each bringing a rich background from the realms of architecture and cinematography to the vibrant world of animation.
Today we are really excited to announce that Afterman has joined NOMINT for worldwide representation.
From the heart of LA, their venture into animation is a story of its own. Post her graduation from Rice University, Tsvet was carving architectural dreams in New York, while Jerred worked as a cinematographer in the diverse landscapes of reality TV, documentaries, and independent films. Their shared passion for animation led to collaborative sparks, honing their craft both individually and as a duo.
Their creative repertoire took a narrative turn during Covid with “Yellowbird”, a heartfelt short film marking their inaugural venture into narrative filmmaking. “Yellowbird” transcends the ordinary; it’s a canvas of real-life emotions and experiences. Birthed from Tsvet’s personal odyssey of navigating the loss of her father while tethered to New York by a visa, the film delves into an immigrant’s struggle to process grief in isolation. This narrative not only mirrors individual sorrow but echoes a collective emotional voyage, resonating deeply in our post-Covid world.
Afterman’s commercial work include beautiful projects for National Geographic, NASA and Lego. We are excited to have Afterman on board and witness their incredible journey from up close.
