“Angela was the perfect choice to lead the Creative Studio,” said CEO/Partner Dominic Pandolfino. “She’s recognized the raw potential of the Nice Shoes brand, and has collaborated with our team to establish a balance between the new Creative Studio and the legacy of Color and Finishing, resulting in a refreshed Nice Shoes.”
“Nice Shoes’ standing in the community is well known. It has a reputation for creative excellence in Color and Finishing. I am thrilled to be able to harness that energy to drive the company forward by diversifying into design, VFX and production, and offering clients a friendly bespoke experience,” said Bowen.
“Dominic has assembled and nurtured such a talented team and robust infrastructure, that we have already delivered a short film through Oglivy for Aetna, two title design sequences for feature films, and a selection of commercial projects that speak to our strengths.”
Bowen’s career spans commercial, broadcast and feature film projects, having led Psyop and MassMarket as Executive Producer for a decade, where her teams created award-winning projects for Coke, Michelin, Samsung, and Nike. Most recently, Bowen was the Executive Producer at The Colony and Afterparty VFX where her teams delivered the VFX for Danny Collins, starring Al Pacino and Annette Bening.
At Nice Shoes Creative Studio, Bowen joins Directors/Creative Directors James Coulson and Harry Dorrington, Director of CG Steve Parish, and VFX Supervisor Adrian Winter. Since the team came together in 2014, they’ve collaborated with leading agencies and creatives, having produced and directed Digitas’ Cannes Grand Prix winning campaign “Take It From A Fish” and designed the title sequences for Universal Studios’ hit comedy Pitch Perfect 2.
“We are in development for an experiential project on a global scale, and are making inroads into the emerging VR and AR technologies. Most importantly, we’ve been aligning color and look development with VFX,” added Bowen. “We’re taking innovative post technology to set, setting looks and establishing a concurrent workflow between Color and Creative Studio that has palpably enhanced our clients’ experience, by integrating color throughout the editorial and post production process.”
“Angela has brought us to this exciting new level,” added Pandolfino. “I’m extremely confident in her ability to take us even further through this evolving marketplace, and make the strategic partnerships necessary to thrive and succeed in the future.”
