In their latest work for digital asset security brand Ledger, the CG motion crew at Magnane in Lyon, France, introduce the new color collections for the company’s Nano X and Nano S Plus wallets.
From the team at Magnane: “The overall concept of the film is based on the evolution of the Ledger Nano Black device, represented by a floating dark rock which evokes the idea of crypto mining.
“Crystals, inspired by the design of the devices, emerge on the rock and the device itself. These crystals eventually cover the original device entirely before falling away to reveal the new device in its final color.

“The entire production was done using Cinema 4D, leveraging tools such as Matrix Object and a ton of effectors. However, handling such a large number of objects quickly made the files heavy and complex to manage, forcing us to optimize them to streamline processing.
“To maintain maximum flexibility during editing, we chose to render long sequences for each rock, device, and color. This gave us a substantial amount of material to work with, enabling us to fine-tune the shots and colors right up to the final stages of production.
“However, such detailed renders required significant processing time and computing power. To meet these demands, we rented additional machines to render sequences till the very end of the project while working on the editing.”
