Khaki Dissect the Mind and Body of Game Designer Toshihiro Nagoshi in “MAKE/HUMAN”

Following up their recent music video madness for MILLENNIUM PARADE, the animation crew at Khaki in Tokyo deliver an explosion of anatomical insanity for Japanese video game developer Nagoshi Studio.

From the team at Khaki: “We collaborated with Toshihiro Nagoshi (the creator of the globally renowned Yakuza game series), to unveil his studio’s latest visual project, MAKE/HUMAN.

“This work brings to life Nagoshi’s core philosophy and essential message ‘Take pride in creation. Pour love into depiction. Our focus is on humanity’ which conveys the dual concepts of human development and character creation — the essence of the studio’s mission of ‘human creation’.

“Our creative challenge was to depict the human body, not with scientific precision, but with an entirely new vision and create a visual experience no one had ever seen before.”

“Our creative challenge was to depict the human body, not with scientific precision, but with an entirely new vision and create a visual experience no one had ever seen before.

“The introductory shot of Mr. Nagoshi’s face breaking apart was created using photogrammetry to capture his likeness in a high-precision model with refined look development to enhance the shot’s realism and impact.

“From the explosion of the face, the sequence gradually transitions into a spectacular portrayal of the internal body. This progression was carefully crafted to seamlessly merge realism and abstract art, offering audiences an immersive experience that felt natural and captivating.”
