Playing off Guinness’ infectious “Dancing Man” ad (an audience and industry fave from 1994), Nexus director Johnny Kelly and Yamination Studios mix live-action and stop-motion to channel the feel-good vibes of the original.
Johnny Kelly: “The ‘Dancing Man’ video is one of my all-time favorite pieces of advertising so it was a complete pleasure/terror to dance in its footprints. The brief we were given was ‘how would a can dance?’ and I think we answered that conclusively. Our Guinness can has moves I could only dream of.”
Set to the same track as the original ad (“Guaglione” by Perez Prado), the spot showcases the Nitrosurge Device, which, according to the brand “uses ultrasonic technology to break down the nitrogen in Guinness and give you a beautifully smooth two-part pour every time.”
