Visual artist, animator, and creative technologist Raven Kwok: “Time++ is a public art installation commissioned for [a new mixed-use development in Shanghai’s Minhang District called] Todtown.

“It combines the aesthetics of computer generative art and the function of a clock. In this customized generative system, particles that represent the current second are added with the elapse of time.

“With each assigned a shifting size and distance threshold, these particles are self-organizing and collectively display the current time in hours and minutes.”
