LONDON, 22nd July 2019 – Future Power Station, the London-based creative studio is the latest to sign to Friends Electric’s impressive talent roster.
Future Power Station’s incredibly creative style draws on hand-built 2D animation, beautifully shot live-action, stunning stop-frame, and cinema-quality 3D. It’s this combination that creates such impressive mixed media stories and has made the studio sought after by some of the biggest brands in the world.
Future Power Station’s excellent work includes Honda ‘The Dream Makers’, Adidas for the Champions League, Nivea for ‘Doom of Dirt’ and Queen Bey herself, Beyonce, for her video ‘Grown Woman’. Their most recent project for Evian and Wimbledon was done in collaboration with creative production company, Friends Electric.
The studio is made up of the epic quartet: Yibi Hu, Geoff Parsons, Naima Vogt and Eric Dias. Yibi is a multi-award-winning visual artist and director, with a vast body of eclectic work, and previously worked as part of the BBC’s in-house creative team; Geoff, a great producer, director and filmmaker with extensive experience in broadcast, advertising and design; Naima, a documentary and animation producer with a career that has seen her based in both New York and London and Eric Dias the Brazillian animation and design whizz-kid.
Barney Richard, Executive Producer at Friends Electric, said “Super-delighted to welcome Future Power Station to our roster. Yibi, Geoff and the gang are awesome humans that make beautifully crafted work. They have such a range of styles and good ideas, alongside great storytelling that binds everything together. Very much looking forward to creating BIG things with them.”
Future Power Station said “It’s a really exciting time for us at FPS, and we’re looking forward to making some beautiful work as part of the Friends Electric roster.
