Colors And The Kids Trip to the Unknown in “Trafo” Short Film

The latest experiment from Berlin CG innovators Colors And The Kids (whose work we track here) presents an enigmatic series of vignettes designed as “an excursion into the unknown, where every moment can spark a new understanding.”

From the team at C A T K: “‘Trafo’ invites you into a landscape always in flux. Feathers drift — traveling messengers on currents of air — carrying distant stories and subtle hints as they settle. Trees keep watch and mechanical shapes glide across uncertain surfaces. Nothing is fixed, everything is in transformation, and your senses must adjust to the continual shift.

“As the soundtrack sets its sonic architecture, images morph like ink on a page still wet. Each element offers a clue. Each change hints at deeper meaning. You’re asked to look closely, linger, and let these pieces whisper their own strange logic. It’s an excursion into the unknown, where every moment can spark a new understanding — if you allow it to unfold on its own unruly terms.”
