On a mission to save Christmas from rubbish gift-givers, BlinkInk director James Papper, illustrator Vivienne Shao, and MC/DJ D Double E slam together a bit of hypnotic chaos for Camden Town Brewery thru Wieden+Kennedy London.

James Papper: “Working on this project was really fun for a few reasons. Firstly working with D Double E was mad. I’ve listened to his music for a long time so being in the studio with him was a buzz.

“I love Vivienne’s work, and we wanted to lean into the more surreal areas of her personal work for this film, so it was cool exploring that with her.

“My approach with the film was just to try to make something that I would be excited to see on TV. It sounds obvious but you don’t always get to do that on commercial jobs so it was really nice to be given a lot of freedom and trust with this one.”

This spot, which intro’s the Camden Giftnotist character (voiced by D Double E), follows on from Papper’s breakout Camden Hells “Give Em Hells” spot released in 2020.
