Brikk Animation Keeps Emotion Center Stage for Komatsu

Drawing inspiration from the style of Studio Ghibli, Brikk Animation leverages the full range of human emotions to highlight the landmine clearance work done by Japanese manufacturing and tech giant Komatsu in Cambodia.

Director Samuel Fast Hurtigkarl at Brikk in Stockholm: “Komatsu supports demining efforts in Cambodia by providing advanced technology and equipment. They help clear dangerous areas and make the land safer for the local population to return to their homes and land.

“This film follows a girl and her friends on an after-school day when an unexpected event occurs. With hand-painted backgrounds and traditional frame-by-frame animation, the film draws inspiration from Japanese anime. The project showcases Komatsu’s commitment to safety and innovation in a crafted and powerfully impressive way.
