Blinkink director Daniel Quirke leads a team of animators and embroiderers on a quest to bring Burberry’s Knight galloping to life in this film announcing Burberry’s Winter 2025 collection and runway show at London Fashion Week.
Produced in collaboration with the London Embroidery Studio, the film features 120 cross-stitched pieces of fabric animated in-camera to showcase the knight and steed charging past Tower Bridge and through the city.
“We were looking at Old English Tapestries and trying to balance keeping the design of the knight and London skyline recognizable, but still in keeping with the handcrafted style.”
Daniel Quirke: “Taking Burberry’s iconic logo and telling a London-centric story on a piece of real material in Burberry blue, felt like a perfect opportunity to lean into the craft of animation.
“It was great fun. We were looking at Old English Tapestries and trying to balance keeping the design of the knight and London skyline recognizable, but still in keeping with the handcrafted style. I love how the film combines the old with the new and really carries Burberry’s London heritage and love of craft.”
