Best of Stash 2024: Product Films!

To elevate their wares above the constant yammer of the market, brands need sharp creative and inspired execution that snares attention, fuels desire, and opens wallets – exactly like these seven films.

We were honored to publish all of these projects in The Stash Permanent Collection during 2024. They are listed here in reverse chronological order by their issue of publication.

REMARKABLE “INTRODUCING THE PAPER PRO” (above)
Issue: Stash 168

From the team at ManvsMachine: “We teamed up with reMarkable to introduce their groundbreaking and highly anticipated new product, the Paper Pro – the most paper-like tablet in the world.

“We deliberately introduced handheld camera movements and played with the fidelity of our 3D renders, this felt fresh and exciting to us as so often we aim for the cleanest, crispest, and most detailed export.”

FIGURE F.02
Issue: Stash 168

Jill Wilkie, new business development at Tendril in Toronto: “The brief was to build hype for Figure’s F.02, their second general-purpose robot, prior to the official announcement and real-world demo.

“In response, we created a teaser film that demonstrates the elegance of the F.02’s materials and movements juxtaposed with the groundbreaking engineering beneath the surface. Introducing the F.02 wasn’t just about a new product – it was a whole new era in automation and industrial application.”

CASETIFY “ULTRA BOUNCE CASE FOR APPLE IPHONE 16”
Issue: Stash 168

Chris Gil CEO at Tektura Studio in Łódź, Poland: “Casetify’s brief for this project was to showcase the Ultra Bounce Case for the iPhone 16, highlighting its premium design, durability, and aesthetic appeal.

“The animation needed to reflect the smooth, durable materials and emphasize the seamless blend of style and protection. The main creative challenge was effectively conveying both style and durability in a visually striking way.”

SONOS “ARC ULTRA”
Issue: Stash 168

Ant Baena, ECD at FutureDeluxe in London: “Sonos challenged us to visualize immersive sound in a fresh and exciting way for the relaunch of their high-end sound bar, the Arc Ultra. We collaborated with Warner Brothers and Legendary Entertainment to bring the world of Dune into the home.

“The project’s most challenging aspect was creating simulations and effects that felt unique and ownable to us as a studio and our client and also lived alongside the visual world of the movie that took years to perfect and develop.”

THE ARSHAM DROPLET | HUBLOT X DANIEL ARSHAM
Issue: Stash 167

Roger Dario, ECD at Tendril: “The world-building challenge on this project was to find new terrain in which the artistic perspective of Daniel Arsham met the singularity of Hublot’s watchmaking.

“With both the film and immersive experience, we wanted to invite art enthusiasts and watch collectors into a world that existed in this in-between. The foundational concept of the water droplet pushed us to think beyond the expected metaphors. How might water be used as a measurement of time itself?”

G/FORE “G18”
Issue: Stash 167

Bryant Nichols, CD and Maria Hanafy, managing director at FutureDeluxe in LA: “The initial project brief was quite different from where we landed. Originally, G/FORE wanted to see their shoe enlarged and traveling through a NYC city street.

“We went back and forth on the concept after realizing the initial idea wasn’t working. We went through Unreal Engine testing, decks of references, etc, which led us to the rare luxury of a client who is asking for their product to be distorted. To pin down the client’s idea of weirdness, we went through several rounds of ideation.”

MICROSOFT ONEDRIVE APPSTORE VIDEO
Issue: Stash 163

Roberto Connolly, EP at NotReal in Buenos Aires: “Microsoft was in the process of updating and expanding the content that showcases the M365 apps family in Google and Apple app stores. We were commissioned to create an engaging 30-second, full CGI video that shows the main features of one of these apps: OneDrive.

“OneDrive is the bridge that simplifies the way you interact with your files on the cloud. It’s more than just storage; it’s the freedom to access, share, and cherish your moments from anywhere in the world.”
