Following up on their retro-print inspired Crocs spot from last fall, the CG motion crew at Bark&Bite in Leeds slip into a new look based on the casual footwear brand’s partnership with the NBA.
Lee Roberts, CD at Bark&Bite: “The creative challenge in the spot for the NBA collaboration was to showcase the high energy, crowd-fuelled effect of a basketball game without the people/players.
“Our solution was to build a fast paced edit to replicate the frenetic energy of the sport. Dynamic transitions maintain the pace and evoke the buzz of being courtside. We also wanted the audio to push this feeling; using the squeak of shoes on a polished wood court to immerse the audience in the game.
“We stylized the court and hoop to create a hyper-real space. Enhancing the environment with dramatic stadium lighting helped us to recreate the feeling of depth and ambience of an arena, without the need for a crowd.”
