Digital artist and filmmaker Axl Le and his talents for conjuring dangerous near-future worlds return with this short film, a creative alliance with South Korean actor/singer/model/creative director Lee Minho.

Axl Le: “This is my first time collaborating with a very famous actor. We both found the concept of ‘food killing’ to be very creative, especially since we are both passionate food enthusiasts.

“From a technical standpoint, due to the numerous characters, there were a lot of character rigging tasks involved. We initially attempted to seek help on this from friends, but since the original characters were replaced, we had to rely on our old friend Mixamo to handle the rigging.

“Another issue was whether the 3D characters should resemble real people. If certain features aren’t captured properly, it can make the characters lose visual believability. However, we eventually discovered that even for characters scanned in 3D, some makeup was still necessary to achieve the final perfect effect.

“In the end, there were still some regrets. The facial rigging in this production wasn’t flawless enough, but I believe this issue can be resolved in the next short film.”
