From the release:
Premiere New York-based production company Assembly is pleased to announce the arrival of Oritte Bendory as Executive Producer. Taking the helm at Assembly alongside Executive Producer Gloria Colangelo, Oritte will also serve as Head of Sales for MacGuffin, Assembly’s sister company which specializes in tabletop production.
Oritte’s creativity and her ability to inspire it in others across the production landscape is vast and varied: she has been a screenwriter and film producer; is a writer of essays published around the web and in a Simon & Schuster anthology, and has the much-envied insight into the needs of her agency clients, having been a producer at Ogilvy & Mather and DDB/Uproar. She arrives to Assembly from a six-year tenure as Head of Sales at Gartner, where she was instrumental in marketing and garnering award-winning campaigns for Gartner’s directors.
This wide-ranging experience has made Oritte uniquely suited for the dual roles at Assembly and MacGuffin, where she’ll emphasize business development with big picture thinking.
Oritte says she’s looking forward to working with the “real gems” on the rosters, commenting: “the mix of talent here is top-notch. I’m excited to re-energize people about the outstanding group of filmmakers at Assembly.” Her plan of action is to take a “more macro, strategic role in developing our directors’ careers by identifying areas where we can improve and develop, both creatively and business-wise.”
Oritte’s blueprint is just what the company has been looking for, says Gloria Colangelo. “We are thrilled to have Oritte join our Assembly/MacGuffin family. In her we have found a smart and savvy industry professional who shares our vision for the company’s future and growth. She is a perfect fit.”
