Five student directors from Taiwan, Hong Kong, France, and Croatia craft a sweet and emotional tale of a young boy dealing with the loss of his grandfather in the thesis film for their Masters program at French animation school Gobelins.
From the directors: “After following all the steps of a traditional Taiwanese funeral ceremony, a seven-year-old boy has to find his own way to express the sentiment of losing someone.
“The entire film is hand-drawn in oil pastel with a subtle animation style, portraying a unique Taiwanese tale.”
